Mauryan Empire were separated by social classes.......
1st . philosophers
2nd . Farmers
3rd . soldiers
4th . herds man
5th . artisans
6th . magistrates
7th . councilors
Laws....................divisions were separated as "castes "because the members of each division were not allowed to marry outside of there division. Also if they were not similar with each other or had different in terms of rules and regulations .
Privileges of upper class groups.......guild leaders were very powerful people, they controlled large economic assets. Traders were the least included among social privilege people.
Do certain classes do certain jobs?.......the drafts men were in the irrepedeve of jati enjoyed a high place in society, but the crafts.
Are woman and men treated different?.........woman were dominated by the male figures of the house hold .they were employed anchors, royal body guards, spies and performers. sometimes woman were impoverished like the windows and the aging prostitutes and were giving the work of spinning yarn.
